Take a forest stroll around a quiet lake
Although there are many lakes in the South Sound, it’s rare to find trails that go completely around the circumference of the lake. The lake is also perfect for small fishing boats, kayaks and stand up paddleboards. On a warm summer day, enjoy a quick dip in the lake following the hike in the roped off swimming area. Mountain bikers will find a whole host of trails at the north and south ends of the lake.
History buffs will enjoy reading the placards describing the forming of the lake and its usage over the years. The lake was formed by a construction of a dam and sawmill back in 1869 and the dam was used for electricity in the early 20th century. This was a popular local destination used for swimming during the logging industry heyday.

The park has a rustic log pavilion available for group rental and perfect for weddings or family gatherings. This pavilion is fully enclosed with three glass walls and a magnificent stone fireplace which makes it seem like a perfect spot for those shoulder seasons where you want to feel a part of the outdoors without getting completely drenched.
